Cooking Instructions
Here are the cooking instructions given in steps so that you can easily follow them and make yourself a tasty omelet that you will never forget. There are three main parts to making a mushroom omelet and they are chopping and readying the ingredients, cooking the mushroom, and cooking the egg.
Preparation
The first step is preparation and the best method of cooking is only starting when all of the ingredients are right in front of you and ready to be assembled.
Peel and chop off the onions, garlic, mushrooms, green peppers, and vegetables. Put them in a bowl and keep it near the stove where you will cook.
Preparing the Mushrooms
Ignite your stove and put it on medium heat. Pour a tablespoon of oil or a nob of butter into the pan and wait a couple of minutes for the oil to get hot.
When the pan is sufficiently hot, add the chopped onion, chopped garlic, and chopped mushroom to the pan and stir-fry them nicely. The mushroom will lose water and change color into brown from white.
Keep stirring them until the mushrooms have become soft enough to chew and the onions have caramelized.
Add other vegetables like carrots, cabbages, and capsicum into the stir-fry at this stage if you wish to add more flavor. Stir-fry all the vegetables and mushrooms until they become soft.
Transfer the mushroom stir-fry from the bowl to a pan and make sure that the frying pan is relatively clean before you start making the omelet.
Preparing the Omelet
Crack all of the eggs into a bowl and add salt, pepper, and turmeric to them. Use a spoon to scramble the eggs well until everything has been incorporated into the mix and the mixture has become homogenous.
Add a tablespoon of oil or butter to the frying pan and put it on medium heat. When the oil has become hot, pour the egg mixture in it.
When the eggs have solidified a little from the heat, add the stir-fried mushrooms and vegetables to the eggs and make sure to spread them evenly on the omelet. Add coriander leaves to the omelet at this stage as well.
Flip the omelet on the other side and cook that side as well. Take it off the frying pan when the omelet is done and put it on a plate.
Things to Be Careful About
Mushrooms can have toxins in them if you do not cook them properly. Always make sure to cook the mushrooms well to avoid any trouble.
Flip the omelet well and use another plate to do so as the omelet is quite heavy and can break easily if not handled carefully.
Always make sure that the frying pan and the oil are hot enough because otherwise, the eggs can stick to the pan.
Conclusion
Adding mushrooms to your morning omelet will add an umami flavor to your breakfast and will give you plenty of vitamins B2, B2 Folate, B5, Phosphorus, Vitamin D, Selenium, Copper, Potassium, and many other necessary nutrients.
